Lyn Horner is a cross-genre romance author whose stories span the sweeping frontiers of the Old West, the edge of the apocalypse, and even the twists of time itself. Her award-winning novels blend historical depth, emotional romance, and paranormal intrigue, often featuring characters gifted with psychic abilities—a theme close to her heart, inspired by her own experience with precognitive dreams.
Originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota, Lyn studied at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, launching a career as a fashion illustrator and art instructor before shifting to writing while raising her family. Now based in Fort Worth, Texas—“where the West begins”—she shares her home with her husband Ken and a crew of very spoiled cats, along with a revolving gang of grateful community kitties.
Lyn is the author of several beloved series, including the Texas Devlins, a western historical romance series honored with a Crowned Heart Review and RONE Award nomination, the Romancing the Guardians pre-apocalyptic romantic suspense series, and Legendary Rendezvous, a time travel romance series. Her work often reflects her Scotch-Irish roots, especially in stories like Rebel Mine, a highly praised Irish historical romance set during the 1798 Rebellion, recognized by the Historical Fiction Company for its rich research and storytelling.
When she’s not writing, Lyn enjoys genealogy, gardening, reading, and cuddling her furry companions. Want a deeper glimpse into her world? Check out her heartfelt memoir, Six Cats in My Kitchen.
